Dr Long Seng To

Co-Editor, LCEDN Book Series (Loughborough)

Dr Long Seng To is Co-Editor of the LCEDN Book Series and is a member of the LCEDN's Management Committee. She joined the LCEDN team as a Research Associate for the Transforming Energy Access initiative in 2017 and went on to lead a project catalysing research collaborations for community energy resilience in 2018 (funded by the UK Energy Research Centre and the Energy and Economic Growth Programme).

Long Seng is now an Engineering for Development Research Fellow funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering and is based at Loughborough University. Long Seng holds a BEng in Photovoltaics and Solar Energy, a BA in History and Philosophy of Science and a PhD from the University of New South Wales. She is also an Honorary Lecturer at the Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy, University College London and Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Environment and Sustainability, University of Surrey. Long Seng is a member of the UN Economic Commission for Europe Expert Group on Resource Classification, Renewables Working Group, Solar Sub Group which is developing new standards for comparing large scale investments in solar with other energy resources.
